It depends on the situation.  The warranty protects the end user if an SSL.com Certificate is mis-issued (i.e. issued to a third party that was not entitled to the SSL Certificate).

So the security of your servers is the responsibility of the owner of the server.  An SSL certificate doesn't guarantee that a resource cannot be compromised.
